Genevieve Daigle Barre

Genevieve Daigle Barre, age 84, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2013. A long time resident of the Westbank of New Orleans, she was currently residing in Slidell. She is survived in life by her daughter, Denise Beyer and husband Roy, her son Hamilton Randall Barre and wife Melissa. She has 6 grandchildren, Renee, Gregory, Travis, Kevin, Hamilton Christopher, and Ashlee and 8 great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Oscar J. Daigle and his wife Susan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hamilton O. Barre, and son Robert W. Barre.
She was a long time member of the Westbank Homemaker’s Club and the Jo Ellen Smith Women’s Auxiliary. She was a member of the Creative Planter’s Garden Club on the Westbank and was currently a member of the Eden Isle Garden Club.
She loved with all her heart and was loved by all who knew her. She will always be cherished in our hearts and memories. Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 9 AM to 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel.
