Geoffrey Michael Dumont

Geoffrey Michael Dumont, 42, of New Orleans, Louisiana was unexpectedly lost on May 22, 2024.  He came into the world June 10, 1981 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Renel Dumont, and was a beautiful happy child. Geoffrey received his high school diploma from Brother Martin High School before receiving his B.A. from Louisiana State University. After graduation, Geoffrey worked for fourteen years as the office runner for the Murray Law Firm in New Orleans, which he so enjoyed.  Geoffrey met the love of his life, Hailey Gonsolin. The two were making plans to marry and start their life together.  Geoffrey adored Hailey (and her sweet pup, Charlie May) as she made him so very happy. For this, we his family, are beyond grateful. Geoffrey’s unexpected passing comes as a shock to his family, friends, and loved ones, who are still reeling at the loss. He lived a vibrant life and still had so much ahead of him. His was taken far too soon. In light of the sudden news, the family asks for privacy as they deal with this tragic situation. Geoffrey is proceeded in death by grandparents, Benjamin and Thelma Olivier, George and Lucille Dumont.  He is survived by his parents, Robert and Renel Dumont, and sister, Genevieve Dumont-Lama. Cousins, Gabrielle Begue Winkowski, Nicole Begue Hackmann, Whitney Olivier Ott, Abby Olivier Jennings, Eric Borgerson, Joey Dumont and Rochelle Dumont. Uncle Brian Begue (Uncle BB), Aunt Karen Olivier Begue (Auntie), Uncle Rene Olivier (Uncle Ne), Aunt Dawn Olivier (Dawny Belle), Uncle Michael Dumont, Aunt Beverly Dumont (Aunt Bev), Uncle Steve Borgerson, Aunt Anne Borgerson (Auntie Anne). Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Monday, May 27, 2024 at 11am.
