George J. Cline Sr. passed away on December 1, 2024 at the age of 65 at his home in Marrero. He was born on September 16, 1959 in New Orleans. He is survived by 2 children. Son, George J. Cline Jr. (Dana) and Daughter, Jenny C. White (Ryan). 3 Grandchildren, Gavin Cline, Kaiden White and Riley White. 2 sisters, Gloria C. Cormier (Lester), Mary C. Clements (late Francis). Godfather of Patricia Scarborough and Blake Sisung. Also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, Henry F. Cline Sr. and Alberta T. Cline. And two brothers, Henry F. Cline Jr., and William Cline (Angel). And one sister, Mildred C. Sisung (late Arthur).
George was an animal lover. He dearly loved his two special dog buddies, late Shadow and late Smokey. George was a board member and rode in The Krewe of Grela Parade on the Westbank for several years. He loved to fish, crab, trawl and spend time at his Camp on Grand Isle which he built after Hurricane Katrina.
He also loved to vacation at Walt Disney World in Florida. He was a diehard Disney fan. He also loved to spend time in the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. From a young age he loved motorcycles. He loved to ride his motorcycles, often saying riding made him feel free. His most prized motorcycle was his Harley Davidson.
In his teenage years George was a member of the Jefferson Parish Junior Deputies Association under the direction of Sheriff Alvin Cronovich and Lt. Donald Borne of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. He loved camping, taking trips, and marching in Mardi Gras Parades with the Junior Deputies. During his life he was employed by, Packard Pipe Terminal, Hydril/Tenaris Co., Tubular Threading Inc., and Avondale Shipyard. Interment Private.
