George P. Dupont

George P. Dupont passed away on November 1, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Husband of Betty Dupont by second marriage and the late Gaynell Breaux by first marriage. Father of Tara Messina (Brad Riebow), George P. Dupont (Gina), Ryan D. Dupont, Mark D. Dupont (Virginia) and the late Barry J. Dupont (Tammy). Grandfather of Jordan, Amanda, Danielle, Corey (Kelsey) and Chance. Great-grandfather of Baylee. Brother of Dora Marciante, James Dupont (Mary) and the late Paul Dupont. Son of the late Rosalie Fazzio Dupont and Pearl George Dupont, Sr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he served his country during the Korean War and is a Purple Heart recipient. He later retired from American National Insurance Co., serving for many years as an agent, district manager and local director.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 6851 River Road in Waggaman, LA on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
