George "G.C." Charles Koch, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Gloria Cassou Koch. Father of Steve Koch, (Treasa), Robert Koch (Dari), and the late George Koch, Jr. Son of the late Lucy and Oliver Koch. Brother of Oliver Koch, Jr., Lillian Illenberger, Ernest Koch, and the late Ethelyn Gebrowsky, Mildred Kennair, and Irwin Koch. Grandfather of Laura Gunter, Jennifer Kelley, George C. Koch, III, Steven Koch, Jr., Christopher Koch, Taylor Caldwell, Kolby Caldwell, Brycen, Garred, and Abby Koch. Also survived by 8 great grandchildren. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served proudly in the United States Air Force. He was an owner of Koch Brothers Produce Company for over 50 years and a lifelong resident of Belle Chasse, LA. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 11am.
