George Louis Pertuit, III passed away on March 2, 2016. Beloved husband of Elsie Robertson Pertuit for 60 years. Father of Bonnie A. Pertuit. Grandfather of Nicole A. Nickens and Bryce B. Rome. Great-grandfather of Cole Nickens. Son of the late George L. Pertuit, Jr. and Nola Boudreaux Pertuit. Brother of Eloise Tassin (late Jimmy), Nolan Pertuit, Sr., and the late Douglas Pertuit. Godfather of Debbie Tassin Autin. Uncle of Sandra Pertuit Difebbo, James Tassin, Jr., Phil Pertuit, Douglas Pertuit, Jr., Glenn Pertuit, Nolan Pertuit, Jr., and Chris Tassin. Age 79 years and a lifelong resident of Westwego, LA. He was in the U.S. Marines Reserves, retired from the Missouri Pacific and Texas Pacific Railroad, and he owned several businesses including City Electric Co. and Westwego True Value Hardware. He was the electrical inspector for code enforcement in Jefferson Parish and the City of Westwego. Burial will be private.
