George Albert Rau Jr. passed away on November 5, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was 62 years of age. Beloved father of George A. Rau III (wife Sandy), Stephanie R. Rigney (husband Chris) and Wesley J. Rau (wife Kristen). Grandfather of Natalie M. Rigney, Chase A. Rau, Laley J. Rau, Lexie M. Rigney, Landen L. Rau, Summer M. Rau and Adelynn R. Rau. Brother of Peggy Bradford (husband Henry), Christopher Rau (wife Jennifer) and Brien Rau (wife Denise). Son of the late George A. Rau Sr. and Hilda Carpenter Rau. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
He was born in New Orleans, LA and graduated from Brother Martin High School, Class of 1971.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gretna on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
