Gerald Ancar, Jr.

Gerald Ancar Jr., Vietnam Veteran died on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. He was 66 years old. Gerald will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Sonya and his son Gerald Ancar III (Val) and his grandsons, Elias and Merrick Ancar; by his brothers, Rene, Dwayne (Cindy) and Elmo Ancar; his mother Augustine Ancar; his in-laws Winnie and Mazie Ancar and will also be forever remembered by his brothers/sisters-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews, godchildren, extended family, and dear friends. Gerald was preceded in death by his father Gerald Ancar Sr., his brothers, Louis “Jason” and Adrian Ancar; his grandson Elysian Ancar and grandparents, Jean and Eve Sylve and Maximillian and Olivia Ancar. Visitation at St.Patrick Catholic Church, 28698 LA 23, Port Sulphur, LA on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass in memory of Gerald will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 28698 LA 23, Port Sulphur, LA on Saturday at 11AM with Fr. Stapleton officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Barthelemy Cemetery in Diamond, La. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA in charge of arrangements.
