Gerald J. Lacour, Sr.

Gerald J. “Pops” Lacour, Sr. passed away on October 19, 2013 at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of 54 years to Linda Lachney Lacour. Father of Connie Boudreaux (Raymond, Sr.), Kevin Lacour (Carla), Gerald “Jerry” Lacour, Jr. (Michele) and Sharron Gonzales (Bryan). Grandfather of Bryan, Ashley, Krystle, Caitlin, Grace, Bryan Jr., Brooke and the late Brett. Great-grandfather of Ethan, Cole, Terry, Cheyene, Remi and one expectant great-granddaughter. Brother of Joyce Robert, Erline Guillory, the late Wilbert Lacour and Gloria Jarvie. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
He worked for many years as a welder with Avondale Shipyards and later retired from Louisiana Maintenance. Pops was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman and loved to tend his garden.
