Gerald John Lowe born in Algiers, LA and lifelong resident of Gretna, LA in the home that he designed and built, was called to his eternal rest on May 10, 2012 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Doris Haas Lowe for 66 years. Loving father of Jerry Ann Lowe Dellucky (Joseph), Gerald John Lowe, Jr. (Brenda) and Marvin James Lowe. He is survived by 7 grand children and 9 great grandchildren. Son of the late Vincent F. Lowe, Jr. and Antoinette Anglada Lowe and preceded in death by 3 sisters: Mildred Arsing, Lillian Fouquet and Muriel Brauner. Gerald retired from Louisiana Power and Light as an electrical supervisor and mechanic at the Ninemile Point electrical generating plant for 35 years. He spent his retirement traveling and perfecting his hobby as a very talented millwork artist and craftsman. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a religious service at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 11 AM. Interment will follow in McDonogh Cemetery, Gretna, LA. visitation will be at 8AM until service time. For further funeral information or directions, please call Mothe Funeral Home at 504.366.4343.
