Gerald Ray "Paw Paw" Wooten

Gerald Ray Wooten (Paw Paw) passed away peacefully, at his home on July 8, 2021 in Port Sulphur, La. Gerald was born in Jacksonville, FL. on January 17, 1957. Beloved son to his parents Hubbard S. Wooten Jr and Peggy Joyce Wooten of Cedarbluff, Mississippi. Adored husband of Janet Elizabeth Loga Wooten. They spent 36 precious years together and have been happily married for 23 years. Gerald was a wonderful stepfather to Kathleen Loga and Andrew Nicholas Bennett III. He was the most loving grandfather to Coty Taylor, Brendon Taylor, Tristian Bennett, Dylan Bennett and Devin Bennett. Gerald had two brothers Hubbard S. Wooten III (Elizabeth) and James Richard Wooten. He was the uncle and great uncle to Lori, Jason, Josh, JJ, Luke and Amelia. Gerald will be gravely missed by his parents, grandchildren, brothers, nieces, nephews and especially his wife. Anyone who knew Gerald knows he was one of the nicest guys you ever wanted to meet. I am sure he is riding his Harley and watching over his family from heaven.

Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 2pm to 6pm. Service will follow in the funeral home chapel.
