Geraldine "Gerry" Hartnett

Geraldine F. “Gerry” Hartnett passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Richard “Dick” Hartnett. Daughter of the late Jared Francois, Sr. and Albertine Gauthreaux Francois. Loving mother of Dianne Hartmann (Husband Billy), Patricia Moore and Joy Danna (Husband Paul). Grandmother of Chamaine, Dawn, Chasen and Connor. Great Grandmother of Alecia, Isabella, Dominic and Sophia. Sister of June Grosch and the late Jared “Bubby” Francois, Jr. Aunt of Glenn Grosch and Karen Granier as well as other nieces and nephews. Gerry is also survived by her canine companions, who she loved dearly, Rosie and Sadie. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you and appreciation to her Caregivers, Marlene Harper and Ana Mendieta as well as the Doctors and Staff of Canon Hospice and Total Home Health for their love and care given. Gerry was a retired cashier at Stumpf Drug Store. She was a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. Relatives and friends, also employees of Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court and Art Catering, Inc. are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 9AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
