Gladys Lucille Edmonds

Gladys L. Edmonds entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Gerald A. Edmonds. Daughter of the late George W. Black and Maude Porter Black. Loving and devoted mother of Jerry Edmonds and Janet Edmonds Clark. Gladys is survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Sister of Thomas Black, Robert Black, Ora Black, George Black, Hebert Black, Lois Dalton, Margaret Tesson, Lola Owen and Faye Jannet Black. Gladys is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She was born in New Burnside, Ill and resided in Belle Chasse, LA. Gladys was a longtime member of Ames Blvd. Baptist Church in Marrero, LA. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 5:30PM until 7:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30PM. Funeral Services will continue on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Cook Funeral Chapel, 101 Edgewood Lane, Carmi, Ill 62821. Interment will be in Little Wabash Cemetery in Crossville, Ill. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Susan G.
