Glen Harold “Doc” Faust peacefully entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the age of 69 years surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Janie Laigaist Faust for 49 years. Son of the late Lloyd A Faust Sr. and Genevieve Muller Faust Walker. Brother of Genevieve (Genie) Hayden (husband Don) and Lloyd A. “Buddy” Faust (wife Priscilla ). Father of Glen A. Faust (daughter-in-law Lisa), and Darren N Faust (Cherie). Grandfather of Brandon, Blake and Macie Faust. Paw Paw to Juliana Nicole. Brother-in-law to Shaye Laigaist Ranson. Survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins, especially Greg, Chris and Perry Rittiner. Glen was employed by Rittiner Equipment Company and Mosquito Control Services from 1963 until his retirement in 2010. Glen is a member of the Firemen’s Charitable and Benevolent Association. He was also a member of the Terrytown 5th District Volunteer Fire Department (1969-Present) and Board Member (1972-Present), Deputy Fire Chief (1978-Present) and Lt. Captain, Assistant Chief and various officer positions (1969-1978). Glen was also a member of the Louisiana Fireman’s Association Life Member, Louisiana Fire Chiefs Association and a life member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs. Glen also received numerous service awards from the Terrytown Fire Department such as Special Service Award, President Award, Chief Award and Norman Lanoix Award. In 2015, Instillation was dedicated in his honor and in 2000 the Conference of the Louisiana Fireman’s Association was also dedicated in Glen’s honor. Glen was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, members of the Terrytown 5th District Volunteer Fire Department and Fifth District Savings Bank are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 10AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:30PM. A Fireman’s procession to Greenwood Cemetery, City Park Avenue, New Orleans, LA will immediately follow Mass.
