Glenn Anthony Turlich

Glenn Anthony Turlich, Sr. was born on July 24, 1940 and passed away on June 9, 2011 at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Carolyn Soles Turlich. Father of Glenn Anthony Turlich, Jr. (wife Stephanie), George Allen Turlich (wife Naomi). Grandfather of Kullan, Alivia, Braedon and Talia. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents Adam Turlich and Rita Scobel Turlich and brother A.J. Turlich. A native of Port Sulphur, LA and a resident of Buras, LA for 50 years and a resident of Atlanta, LA since Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Turlich served in the United States Marine Corp from 1961 to 1965 and he retired after 32 years from Chevron Oil Company (formerly Gulf Oil Co.). He is a member of the American Legion Post 193 of Buras, LA, the Eastern Star Masonic Lodge of Winnfield, LA and the Marine Corp Musicians Association. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11AM. Interment to follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open on Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 6PM to 10PM and again on Monday from 8AM until Mass time.
