Gloria Jean Manno

Gloria “Jeannie” Manno earned her angel wings on February 3, 2014. She was born on December 17,1940 in New Orleans, LA but was a long time resident of Belle Chasse, LA. She was the daughter of the late Gasper Manno, Sr. and the late Nora Bono Manno. She will be greatly missed by her dear siblings Shirley Naquin, (late husband Davey Lee), Rose Adkins, (late husband John), Gasper Manno Jr (wife Zinnea), and Anthony Manno, (late wife Carol). Preceded in death by her brothers, Dominick (late wife Mae), Louis (late wife Gladys), Mac (late wife Pearl), Joe (late wife Anne), sisters, Antoinette Martin (late husband Tom) and Cecile Baronich (late husband Harold). She was the loving godmother to Nora Adkins, Lisa Martin, Jan Manno, and Tina Baronich. She also had countless nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and loving friends who will miss her always. Although many children throughout the family were special to Ms. Manno, two children whom held special places in her heart were Ryan Adkins and Destiny Armstrong.
Ms. Manno was an employee of the Plaquemines Parish School Board working at Belle Chasse High School for many years. The last several month Ms. Manno resided and was cared for by the wonderful staff of Wynhoven Health Care Center in Marrero, LA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Highway 23 in Belle Chasse on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 9 AM to 10:30 AM.
