Gloria "Nana" Marie Ussery

Gloria “Nana” Marie Ussery passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 10, 2024, at the age of 76. Beloved wife of the late William “Donnie” Ussery for 56 years. Loving mother of Lori Boudreaux (Chris), David Ussery (Fadra) and Dustin Ussery (Kristy). Devoted Nana to her Grandchildren Dylan Boudreaux (Britni), Tyler Boudreaux (Jasmine), Dawson, Madelyn, Zoey and Gavin Ussery, Victoria Champagne, Victor and Veronica Garcia. Beloved Nana to her Great Grandchildren Harper, Briggs and Sawyer Boudreaux, Rori Dejean, Kinsley Babineaux, Kira, Carson and Harper Champagne and Elena Garcia. Gloria is the Sister-In-Law to Ronny (Fran) and Kathleen (the late Tommy) Ussery, Lisa and Mary Jane Sanchez. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, family members and close friends who all loved her dearly. Gloria is proceeded in death by her parents Mabel Rodriguez and Hilary Nugent, her In Laws Wilbon and Evelyn Ussery, her sister Linda Ray, her brothers Rickey and Robert Sanchez and her nephew Kevin Nugent. She was also the loving grandmother to the late William Ussery. Gloria was a longtime resident of Harvey where she worked at Melrose Learning Center for many years. When she wasn’t busy doing yard work and planting in her garden, she would enjoy trips to the casinos or playing games on the computer. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially the Grandchildren, watching movies, telling stories and forever singing songs. She loved being Nana and we will all miss her so very much! A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday December 28, 2024, at the home of David and Fadra Ussery, 13 Oakley Drive, Marrero, Louisiana. The gathering will begin at 11:30am until 1:30pm.
