Gordon K. Stackel

Gordon K. Stackel passed away on May 22, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Anna T. Farkas Stackel. Father of Louise Ahlum, Barbara Rusiewicz, Linda Trumbore, Beverly Breeswine and Gordon M. Stackel. Son of the late Alverda Bowers Stackel and Leroy Stackel. Also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. His military career brought him through Germany, Normandy and Northern France as he participated in the air offensive in Europe. Among his many decorations and citations, he was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in battle.
