Gregory A. Jackson, Sr.

Gregory Jackson Sr., a Technical Advisor and long resident of Laplace, LA, passed peacefully on February 20, 2023 at the age of 56 surrounded by loved ones.

Gregory is predeceased by his mother, Martha Jackson. He is survived by his partner, Jo Ann Jones and former spouse Ericker Jackson and their sons, Gregory Jackson Jr., wife Megan and granddaughter Camille; Landon Jackson, and Bradford Jackson; his father, Joseph Jackson Sr.; his brothers; Joseph Jackson Jr. and Michael Jackson; and his sisters, Lana Benton and Cassundra Randolph along with many nieces and nephews.

Gregory was born in Sycamore, Illinois on July 11, 1966 to Joseph Jackson Sr. and Martha Jackson (Walker). He was a star running back at First Assembly High School and later went on to play collegiate football at Southeastern Louisiana University. He went on to work for Dow Chemical for 26 years. On November 20, 1991 and July 26, 1995 respectively, he welcomed his first son and twin sons, who were an important part of his life.

Gregory was a devoted father and avid cyclist. He enjoyed the outdoors, social gatherings, flying drones, sports, and his infamous Dodge Ram truck. He was also a problem-solver who people felt comfortable coming to often. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew his infectious personality and humor.
