Harold "Hal" Honore Charlet, Jr. entered into eternal rest with Jesus on Sunday, October 27, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend of 48 years to Mary Bertucci Charlet. Devoted and loving father of Denise Toscano (husband, Gary), Dayna Holland (husband, the late Jeffery), and Jo Lynn Charlet Tompson (Tommy). Son of Emelda Gruntz Charlet and the late Harold Honore Charlet, Sr. The loving grandfather of Brittany Toscano Smith (husband, Steve), Nicholas Toscano, Garrett Toscano, Travis Toscano, Alexis Vicknair, Michael Charlet, and Cameron Tompson. He was the great-grandfather of Steve Smith III. Age 70 years. He is the loving brother of Wayne Charlet (wife, Lucy), Jeffery Charlet (wife, Diane), Kerry Charlet (wife, Salley), Julie Penick (husband, Danny), and the late Christy Veltman and Lori Charlet. He will be remembered for his wittiness and love for people. Hal was known to always put everyone before himself. He would always keep a smile on his face no matter what, especially with all his girls around him. Harold was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Relatives and friends of the family, also parish family of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #9384, The Four Columns, Entergy, Jefferson Parish School Board, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, Dollar Tree, Waggaman Golden Age Club, Westbank Seniors and Sassy Bowling Leagues, and LC Association are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 455 Ames Blvd, Marrero, LA on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 1:30 PM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be at church from 10:30 AM until funeral time. Rev. Damian Hinojosa will preside over the mass.
