Harold D. Magee, Sr.

Harold D. Magee, Sr. passed away on June 9, 2014 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Shirley Rindell Magee. Father of Harold D. Magee, Jr. (Mary Faith), Mark L. Magee (Angela) and Leslie Magee Dufour. Grandfather of Lauren Magee Hollingsworth, Marcus and Derrick Dufour. Great-grandfather of Calla, Ivy, Aubrey and Reed. Son of the late Perry C. and Bessie Porter Magee.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member and Board member of Timberlane Country Club and was a former member of the Westbank Rotary Club.
Services were held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette St., Algiers, LA on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Interment followed at Westlawn Memorial Park. Donations in his memory may be made to the National World War II (D-Day Museum) in New Orleans by visiting: www.nationalww2museum.org .
