Harold Joseph Theriot

February 7, 1932 — September 8, 2015

Harold Joseph Theriot peacefully entered into eternal life on September 8, 2015 at the age of 83, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Rita Mae LeBlanc Theriot for 63 years. Preceded in death by his parents Camille Theriot, Sr. and Jeanne Nicole Breaux. Survived by his children, Susan Theriot and Ricky Theriot (Colleen). He was loved and cherished by his four grandchildren, Heather Hebert (Harry), Rebecca Falcone, Rhett Falcone (Allison), Ricky Theriot Jr., in addition to his great-grandchildren, Kristen, Kyle, Donavyn, Kalob, Brittyn, and Ian. Brother of Shelby, Jack, Donald, Ruben, and the late Camille Jr., Bella, Regina, and Lydia. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
He served in the U. S. Army and was a survivor of the Korean War where he was missing in action at age 18. He was a victim of the “Chosen Frozen.” He then worked for the U.S. Marshall’s Office as a Marshall Guard until he became disabled.
He was home bound for many years where his wife, daughter, and son took care of him. Harold had an abundant love for his family, life, and God. He will forever live in our hearts. We thank God for the love and understanding from our Priest, Eucharistic Minister, V.A., and all the others who cared for him with love.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and People’s Volunteer Army (Korean War).
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11 AM.
