Harris "Harry" Lester, Jr.

Harris “Harry” Lester, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the age of 81.  Beloved and loving husband of Elaine Simon Lester for 60 years.  Son of the late Harris Joseph Lester, Sr. and Willie Anna Deaton Lester. Loving and devoted father of Harris Lester (Kim), Dawn Carlson (Brian) and Shawn Lester.   Harry is survived by his sister, Mary Rost, 9 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.   He is preceded in death by his brothers, Pete Sears, Adam Sears, Bobby Lester, Randy Lester and his sisters, Ella McMahon, Barbara Hammer, Ann Lester and Delores LeBoeuf. Harry was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a resident of Harvey, Louisiana.  He worked as a Mechanic for the Jefferson Parish Transportation Department.  Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 1PM until 3PM.  A Memorial Mass will be held at the funeral home at 3PM.  A private interment will take place by his family at a later date.  The family invites you to share thoughts, fond memories and condolences online at www.mothefunerals.com.
