Harry Thomas Hardin, Iii

Harry Thomas Hardin, III died peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Margaret Eileen Sussex Hardin for 38 years. Loving father of Harry T. Hardin, IV (Natalia Cascante). Grandfather of Cecilia Grace and Margaret Elena Hardin. Brother of John “Jay” Hardin, Robert Hardin and the late William Hardin. Son of the late Annarose Crnjak Hardin Demandre and Harry T. Hardin, Jr. Also survived by a host of family and friends. Mr. Hardin began his college education at Loyola University of New Orleans earning his bachelors degree and continuing to Loyola Law School. Shortly thereafter he began military service in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam where he was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star with “V” device and the Army Commendation Medal. Upon his return, he continued his education earning his J.D. which began an extensive law career being admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1972, the U.S. Federal Courts both East and West Districts and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1977. He practiced as Assistant Parish Attorney in Jefferson Parish for many years and also in private law firms. Mr. Hardin was a member of the Louisiana State Bar Assn., Trial Lawyers Assn., Jefferson Bar Assn., and the House of Delegates, Louisiana State Bar Assn.
Relatives and friends of the family also Judges, Attorneys and Administrators of the Jefferson Parish First and Second Parish Courts and Jefferson Parish 24th Judicial District Courts, Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office and members of the above named organizations are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 6th St., Gretna, LA on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 430pm until 530pm. The Memorial Mass will follow at 530pm. Interment will be private.
