Hayes J. Lepine

July 14, 1925 — November 3, 2014

Hayes J. Lepine passed away on November 3, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Lopez Lepine. Father of Allan G. Lepine and his wife Carla Brown Lepine. Son of the late Jeannie Loup Lepine and Wilson P. Lepine. Brother of Leona Maronge (the late Harold Maronge), the late Warren P. Lepine (the late Marion Lepine) and the late Mildred Weigel (the late George “Buddy” Weigel). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Hayes served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He later worked as an upholsterer and retired as an auto parts sales representative. His musical talents brought him to the American Legion Post 64 band, of which he was a founding member. He played trombone, string bass and drums for countless community, charity and veterans events. Along with American Legion Post 64, he was a member of V.F.W. Post 7307 and Knights of Columbus Council No. 1905. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10 AM to 1:30 PM.
