Helen Adcock, 71 of Algiers, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024 after a very brave battle with Leukemia. Helen, known as Mimi to all who loved her, was born October 29, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Henry Oubre, Sr. and the late Joan Hubert Oubre. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Adcock and her only daughter, Toni Ann Sisung (Walter); her beautiful Granddaughters, Madison Plumer and Cassidy Plumer (Mason Shelley). She is also survived by her 3 Great Grandchildren, Ty Shelley, Charlotte DiMartino and Colt Shelley. She leaves behind her siblings, Richard Oubre, Henry Oubre, Jr. (Carole), Donna Guidry and Lucien Oubre (Carly). Helen was a born caretaker and spent her life caring for others, both in her career in the Medical field and in her personal life. Her joy and compassion will be missed by all that knew her. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of Helen. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 10AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
