Helen LaGleize Folse

Helen LaGleize Folse, former owner of Folse Pharmacy entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late James H. Dowden, Sr. by 1st marriage and the late Lloyd R. Flose by 2nd marriage. Daughter of the late Emile R. LaGleize and Effie LeBlanc LaGleize. Mother of James H. Dowden (Audrey), Denise Gore (Gilbert), Helen DiLeo (Charles) and the late Julie Territo (Survived by husband, Vincent). Grandmother of Julie D. Blount (James), Jared L. Gore (Elizabeth), Emily G. McLemore (Derek), Aimee E. Territo, Sarah E. DiLeo and the late James H. Dowden III. Also survived by 4 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Elaine L. Winters. Helen was born in New Orleans and resided in Marrero, LA for many years. She was a teacher for many years with the Jefferson Parish School System. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to her caretakers, Lynn, Shelly, Kim and Sheila; also to the staff of River Region Hospice for their love and care given to Helen during her time of need. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 11AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the funeral home on Friday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
