Helen Kohler Keppler passed away on Saturday December 15, 2012 at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd A. Keppler. Daughter of the late Frederick Kohler and Anna Mae Giles Kohler. Mother of Helen Ruth Gorrondona Thibodeaux, Mary Virginia Keppler, and Frederick (Fritz) Keppler. Mother-in-law of Devron Thibodeaux. Grandmother of Patrick and John (Kep) Regan, Thane Gorrondona, Danika Gorrondona Anglada, and Morla Gorrondona Lipson. Step Grandmother of Terri Thibodeaux Stuckey, Beth, Angelle, and Paul Thibodeaux. Great Grandmother of Christopher, Andrea, Natalia, and Matteo Gorrondona, and Kohler Lipson. Step Great Grandmother of Quinn Anglada, and Sarah, Rachel and Matthew Stuckey. Great Great Grandmother of Savannah Gorrondona. A resident of New Orleans for 92 years before moving to South Carolina. A parishioner and member of the Ladies Guild of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. Special thanks to her beloved care givers - Hospice of the Upstate and Guardian Home Care of South Carolina. Visitation will be on Thursday December 20, 2012 at Mothe’s Funeral Home, 1300 Valette St., New Orleans, LA 70114 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This will be immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at the same location. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Marianites of Holy Cross, 1011 Gallier St., New Orleans, LA 70117 would be appreciated. Nana’s loving smile, laughter, warmth, positive outlook on life and faith touched everyone she ever met. To Paraphrase the song, “To know her was to love her.”
