Helen Mae House Loëb

Helen Mae House Loëb was born on June 22, 1915 and passed away on September 23, 2015 at the age of 100 years. She is survived by her sister, Billie Jean House Tagalos along with many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Loëb; son, Dean H. Randall; parents, Sammie Geneva Cotton and John Sylvanus House; siblings, Pearl Jane House, John Olen House, Charles Winfield House, Frances Geneva Griss, Bonnie Louise House and Carl James House.
She earned her Master’s in Education from Tulane University and taught in the Orleans Parish School System.
She served her faith as a member of Faith Baptist Church in Malvern, Arkansas. She was a historian-at-heart that led her into her favorite pastime of genealogical research. She not only researched local records but traveled with her beloved Stanley around the country, visiting churches, courthouses, libraries and cemeteries. As a patriot, she shared her time and talents with several organizations which included the Louisiana Historical Society, The Spirit of ’76, Daughter of the American Revolution, Robert Ruffin Chapter National Society of Colonial Dames, Louisiana Chapter of Daughter of the American Colonies, Stonewall Jackson United Daughters of the Confederacy, Chalmette Chapter U.S. Daughters of 1812, Colonial Dames of the 17th Century and New Orleans Chapter of Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, an organization built on the American civic education of our youth.

Interment will take place in her family’s burial site at the Fairplay Cemetery in Benton, Arkansas.
