Our beloved mother, Helen Daigle peacefully passed away at her daughter's home April 17, 2024, after a brief illness. Born in Raritan, Illinois to the late George Powell and Stella Burns Lowber.

She left the smalltown and headed West. She lived in Las Vegas for a while and was heading to Europe. She stopped in New Orleans, where she met the late Jack Feeney and raised 5 children in Algiers, LA. She later married the late Raymond E Daigle, Sr. and was a special friend to Lloyd "Mert" Lassere and family.

Helen received her college degree from Holy Cross College. She retired from the Orleans Parish School Board and then, Concordia Lutheran School at the young age of 85. She was involved with many groups and organizations over the years. She was fondly known as "The Duchess" a nickname given to her at the salon. Helen was known for her passion for reading, learning, educating and traveling. She also had a gift for gab. She loved talking to people. She will be deeply missed by many!
