Helen Vedros Thibodeaux

Helen Marie Vedros Loupe Thibodeaux, age 77, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2023 at her residence in Covington, LA. Wife of the late Elmer J. Loupe for 24 years, and Kevin R. Thibodeaux for 19 years. Mother of Hope A. LeJeune (Sidney) and Brady J. Loupe. Grandmother of Chad M. Loupe (Krystal), Brittany M. LeJeune, Corine A. Loupe, and Abigail R. Loupe. Great-grandmother of Aiden M. Loupe, Landen M. Loupe, and Colton J. Loupe. Helen was born on September 7, 1945 in Westwego, LA to the late Oderick W. Vedros and the late Maude G. Vedros. Sister of Curtis Vedros (the late Amanda), the late Earl J. Vedros, Geno Vedros (the late Kay), Manuel Vedros (Elaine), the late Joseph Vedros, and the late Dale Vedros. Helen is also survived by a host of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and longtime friends. Helen loved to travel to different places to sightsee and visit with her family and friends. She absolutely loved food and trying different restaurants. Helen enjoyed watching movies, especially Christmas movies on Hallmark. Helen loved her family very much, particularly her grandchildren and three great-grandsons Aiden, Landen, and Colton. She had a special place in her heart for her dog “Buddy”. Helen will be deeply missed by all. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 LAPALCO BLVD., in Marrero, LA on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 9AM to 12:30PM. A funeral mass will follow immediately at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Westwego, LA on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 1PM. Interment will be at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna, LA.
