Helene Spahr "Nanny" Schexnayder

Helene Spahr “Nanny” Schexnayder passed away on September 12, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late George L. Schexnayder. Daughter of the late Anita Isemann Spahr and Albert L. Spahr. Sister of the late Virgie Spahr “V. L.” Kern. Godmother of Belinda Cambre Constant and Ronnie Constant, Wendy Cambre Bush and Lester Cambre, Jr. Beloved family of Jacqueline and Lester Cambre, Sr., Rick Bush and April Cambre. She was “Nanny” to many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Nanny was retired from Gulf Oil Co., served her community as a member of the Creative Planters Garden Club, Gretna Historical Society, German-American Cultural Society, C.O.D.O.F.I.L. and demonstrated her faith through many Rosary and prayer groups.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 6th Street, Gretna, LA on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
