Henry R. Bennett passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the age of 92 years. Beloved husband of the late Amelia Jean Greenwald Bennett. Father of Marion McAllister, and James Bennett, Sr. (Lottie). Son of the late Bertha Hobbs Bennett and David Kaighn Bennett. Brother of the late May Kaighn Bennett. Grandfather of Dale McAllister, Susan Saab, Jacqueline Kennedy, Bruce McAllister II, James Alan Bennett, Jr., Heather Bennett, Kelly Bennett, and the late Sandra Ann McAllister and Seth Coleman. Also survived by 10 great grandchildren. Dear friend of Darren Cotton. He was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He was a native of Collingswood, New Jersey and a resident of Terrytown, LA for the past 12 years. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
