Henry Antoine Grefer

Henry Antoine Grefer, born September 30,1923 entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Adele Meyer Grefer. Son of the late Archibald Joseph Grefer, Sr. and Camille Claire “Hazel” Antoine Grefer. Devoted and loving father of Marcia Madere (Gary), Mark Grefer (Therese), Brian Grefer and Adele Beebe (Michael). Grandfather of Rebecca Madere, Alex Madere (Sabrina), Adam Beebe, Sara Beebe, Matthias Beebe and Andrew Grefer. Loving brother of Camille Claire “Babe” Grefer, Judge Joseph F. Grefer and the late RoseMarie G. Haase’ and Archibald Joseph Grefer, Jr. Henry is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He was a lifelong resident of Gretna; he served in the United States Navy for 3 years and is a retired employee of the Jefferson Parish School Board. A visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Burmaster and Franklin Avenue, Gretna, LA on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 10:30AM until 11:30AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Friday at 11:30AM. Interment will be in McDonogh Cemetery, Gretna, LA. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA in charge of arrangements.
