Herbert George Robin, Sr.
February 17, 1923 — October 15, 2013
Herbert George Robin, Sr. passed away on October 15, 2013 at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of 69 years to Joyce Budge Robin. Loving father of Herbert George Robin, Jr. (wife Cathie) and Cindy Robin Thibodeaux (husband Mike). Devoted grandfather of Michael Thibodeaux and Pamela Robin. Son of the late Elphege Robin and Corinne Babineaux Robin.
Herbert was a graduate of L.S.U. and loved his Tigers. He taught at Destrehan High School, later retired from Exxon as a draftsman and was a member of the Exxon/Mobil Annuitants Club. He was a kind and caring man who made everyone his friend. He enjoyed dancing, traveling, Mardi Gras and of course, L.S.U. sports. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Heart of Hospice and the caring staff of Our Lady of Wisdom for their kindness and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 9 AM to 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Lakelawn Park Mausoleum. Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association ( www.alz.org ).
