Hermanie Schiele Lauden passed away peacefully, with her family by her side on July 18, 2011 age 87. Born November 15, 1923 to Herman and Lillian Schiele. She was a lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Harding Happach, husbands Charles Ray Harding and Lloyd L. Lauden. Hermanie is survived by her daughter Charlene H. Beninate, her husband Frank, grandchildren Bret Beninate, Lisa B. Reeves, B. C. Happach and Nancy H. Carle. Great Grandchildren Zeph and Brody Beninate, and Felicity and Elijah Carle. Faithful friend Cheryl Simmons. Hermanie had a great capacity for love and helping people in need. She lived her long life to the fullest, and often referred to herself as ‘flamboyant’. She graduated from Behrman High School, was a USO volunteer during WWII, briefly worked in the private sector and assisted her first husband in his business. Her first priority was always her family. She was quick to help others, especially the sick. She loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening and especially the beach. She was also an avid sports and Saints fan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 400 Verret Street, Algiers, LA on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 10AM until 12 Noon. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church on Friday at 12 Noon. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Algiers, LA. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME in charge of arrangements.
