Hilda Loupe Beebe passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014. A native of Gretna, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Arnold Beebe, her parents, Davis Phillip Loupe and Emily Parr Loupe, and brothers Edward and Alton Loupe. Loving mother of Ann Beebe Young (William W. III), and beloved Nanny of Mary DeBlanc. Grandmother of Margaret Young Douglass (Kevin) and William W. Young, IV (Angle’), and Great-Grandmother of Savannah Audrey Young and Caden Bentel. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Diane Easley (Roger), Carol Michel, Davis Loupe (Pippa), Linda Calcagno (Michael) and Alton Loupe.
Hilda was a passionate Mardi Gras fan, and could often be found on the front row watching the passing parades and catching beads for her grandchildren. She loved to travel, celebrating her eighty-seventh birthday in Paris.
The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at The Azaleas at Woldenburg Village and Serenity House for their exceptional care over the past four years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, Louisiana on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 1 PM. Interment Hook & Ladder Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana. Parlors will be open Thursday from 11 AM until 1PM.
