Hilda Leonard Kreamer born in Houma, LA. on June 6, 1924, was welcomed to Heaven by Jesus on July 28, 2013, at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of Erole A. Kreamer for 71 years. Daughter of the late Flossie Blanchard Leonard and Jean Leonard. Sister of Esther Landry, and the late Alvin, Henry and John Leonard, Mildred Buquet, Florence Rogers and Ulla Mae Leonard. Loving mother of Barbara Brouillette (the late Ronald), Gail Champagne, Connie Chaisson (Nelson), Debby Richoux Gennusa (Frank and the late Jimmy Richoux), Erole, Jr. (Vicki), Keith and Brett (Phyllis). Preceded in death by daughter Shannon Champagne (Harris), and grandsons Scott Brouillette and Torry Richoux. Survived by 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives. She enjoyed fishing while her loving husband sang to her in French. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 7307 and Southern Pioneers Camping Club. She loved traveling and made multiple visits to most states, Mexico, Canada and Europe, in an attempt to satisfy her thirst to understand various cultures. She attempted to cultivate that curiosity in her grandchildren by having as many of them as possible accompany her on trips. Her family would like to give heartfelt thanks to the Egan Hospice Team, especially Charlotte Dubois, Lou Howard, Courtney and Deacon Butch.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 1, 2013 for 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marrero. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday from 6 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Thursday from 8 AM to 10:30 AM.
