Houston "Tony" Looney

Houston “Tony” Looney of Marrero passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 at age 70. He was survived by his lovely wife of 41 years, Marty and fathered four children: Troy (Wife Dee), Lisa (Husband Joel Parrott), Joey and Tony Looney. He was the grandfather of Timmy and Taylor Looney of Metairie, and Whitney, Lauren, and Zachary Parrott of Denham Springs, LA. Also survived by his brothers, Roy Charles Looney and Daniel Looney. He was predeceased by his brothers Henry Donald and Michael Looney. Cherished by loving sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tony was born in Algiers and worked many years in the maritime industry. He was employed by the JPSO 24th District Court, Division I. A former member of the Lions Club of Marrero, Marine Club of Louisiana, a member of the Second Justice Court Constables Association, and past President of the Mark Twain Club. Tony’s closest friends were Henry Dufour and Al Kinler of Marrero.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 9 AM until Funeral Service time at 11 AM.
