Hubert J. Barbier, Jr. “Beebe” age 68, passed away peacefully and entered into God’s loving grace on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at West Jefferson Hospital. Devoted husband of Kathleen G. Barbier for over 43 years. Loving father of Dr. Christina L. Barbier and loving grandfather of Grant C. O’Brien. Brother of Gerald (Beatrice) Barbier, Patricia (the late Ellward) Cortez, Margaret (Carl) Chaisson, late Percy (Anne) Barbier, and Leslie (Bobby) Ledet. Brother in law of Ellward (Susan) Gegenheimer, Jr. and Carol (Michael) Scioneaux. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends. He retired from Cytec formerly known as American Cyanamid and member of Local USW 13-447. A former member of the Jefferson Parish Planning Advisory Board.
