Huey Joseph Rivet passed away March 19, 2016. Beloved husband of 70 years to Yettie Saucier Rivet. Father of Priscilla “Cookie” Rivet (Nolan) and the late Kerry Rivet. Grandfather of Velvet Comardelle (Chad), Kori Hebert (Tommy), Terran Najolia, and Keri Gonzales (Alex). Great-grandfather of Kayla (Charlie), Maranda (Martin), Caymen, Taylor, Allie, Rhett, Braedan, and Matalie. Great-great-grandfather of Kayden, Isabella, Kyleigh, Mazie, and Alice. Son of the late Valerie I. Rivet and Viola Seibert Rivet. Brother of Edmond Rivet (Frances), Pearl R. Troxler (Larry), and the late Edward Rivet, Shirley R. Faucheaux, and Earl Rivet.
Age 90 years, born in Gheens, LA, a native of Waggaman, LA, and resident of Paradis, LA. He served in the U.S. Navy, worked for Avondale Shipyards, and was self-employed in numerous businesses.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 1:30 PM.
