Ida Rose Scott Wattigney, born August 16, 1926 in Brewton, Alabama, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 14, 2012 at her home in Rayville, Louisiana surrounded by her loved ones. Daughter of the late Corbett M. Scott and Esther Ellen Johnson Scott. Devoted wife of the late Joseph A. Wattigney, Sr. Loving mother of Joseph A. “Joey” Wattigney, Jr, Louis “Mack” Wattigney, Sr. (wife Anna), Eva W. Francois (husband Gene), the late Carmen W. Comeaux (husband Darrell) and Cecil K. Wattigney, Sr. (wife Maureen). Sister of Corbett M. Scott, Jr. (wife Peggy), Jimmy F. Scott (wife Betty), Donald R. Scott, the late Carolyn Scott, the late Sally K. Erlandson (husband Joseph), the late Esther Virginia Tillman (husband, the late Harold), the late Albert D. Scott (wife Margarite), the late Thomas M. Scott (wife Elsie), and the late Jessie F. Scott. She is preceded in death by her granddaughters, Vickey and Amie and her great-grandson, Adam. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 1 PM. Interment McDonoghville Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open Tuesday from 6 PM until 10 PM, resuming on Wednesday from 9 AM until 1 PM.
