Inzy M. Chauncy passed away on July 8, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Sam Chauncy. Mother of Sam Chauncy Jr. (Marilyn), Thomas Chauncy (Tiny), Debra Chauncy, Anne Brand, Darlene Harvey (the late Gary Sr.), James Chauncy Sr. (the late Vickie), Terry Chauncy Sr. (Judy) and Tammy Guidry (Kurt). She is survived by 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Elicia Dominic Elliott and James Elliott along with her brothers and sisters.
Inzy was devoted to raising her family and worked for a time as a greeter at Wal-Mart on Behrman Highway in Gretna. She will be sadly missed but her life will be celebrated.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM.
