Irene Phillips Thiel entered into eternal rest on April 27, 2013 at the age of 41. Loving wife of 23 years to Rodney “Toody” Thiel, Sr. Devoted and loving mother to Rodney “TeeJay” Thiel, Jr., Joseph “Joey” Thiel and Curtis Thiel. Mother-in-law to Leigh and Shanna. Devoted grandmother to Elyjah, Ryleigh and Zoie. Daughter of Annamarie Phillips and the late Joseph F. Phillips. Daughter-in-law to Jerry and Julie Thiel. Sister of Joe Phillips, Melanie Carlisle, David Phillips (Robin), Darlene Phillips (Van) and Missy Polkey (Joe). Sister-in-law to Charles Thiel (Lisa “Whitebean”), Curtis Thiel (Lisa “Redbean”), Frank Thiel (Heidi), Laura Touchet (Greg) and Tammy Thiel. Loving Aunt to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is also loved by Bryan, Sr., David , Sr. and Stu. Irene was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral arrangements preferred. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, May 3, 2013 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 8AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11AM. Interment will be held in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
