Irvin Joseph “Jun” Boudreaux, Jr. Peacefully entered eternal rest at home with family by his side on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Alice Mae Chiasson Boudreaux for the past 69 years. Father of Karen Wilson (Mark) and Gregory Boudreaux (Saavedra). Grandfather to Erica Zimmerman (Cory), Bailey Granier (Kade), Leah Wilson (Fiance Tyler), and Thandie Boudreaux. Great Grandfather of Slade Granier and soon to be born Rowan Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by his parents Irvin J. Boudreaux, Sr. and Bertine Dufrene Boudreaux; his son Michael Anthony Boudreaux; and his siblings Rosadell LaBauve, Yolande Seibert, Audrey Folse, Adrella Delaune, Thomas Boudreaux, and Russell Boudreaux. A native of Raceland, Louisiana born on May 3, 1935 and a resident of Avondale, Louisiana. He was an active member of St. Bonaventure Church, Knights of Columbus, VFW, AmVets, American Legion, Avondale Overseas Veterans Club, and a Recipient of the Order of St. Louis IX Medallion. Irvin was a veteran of the US Air Force for 37 years, a member of the 926 Air Force Reserve Wing, and a veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm.Irvin will always be remembered for his faithfulness and dedication to the Church, Country, Community, and his Family. He loved to talk, tell stories and jokes. With his welcoming smile he never met a stranger he didn’t like.   A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Avondale, LA. On Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 11am. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30am until 11am.  Interment, Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery, Lockport, LA. Les Jorgenson, Grand Knight, Knights of Columbus Council No. 3091 and Council No. 6369 is asking their members to attend. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
