Irwin Joseph Richoux

Irwin Joseph Richoux, Sr. passed away on Monday, May 9, 2011 at the age of 76. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he had touched in some way throughout his life. He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Camille Carubba Richoux. Loving father of Sherry Richoux Martin (Windle), Irwin “Bubba” Joseph Richoux, Jr. (Mary Herzog), Keith Jude Richoux (Ramona Hill), Brian John Richoux (Jerilyn Pierron), Jeffrey David Richoux (Judy Pepper), and Gary Michael Richoux. Son of the late Wilton Richoux and Heloise Breaux Richoux. He is survived by his sister Sandra and brother David; sisters-in-law Audrey, Joan and Cheryl. He was preceded in death by his brothers Melvin, Joseph, Sheldon, Gerald and sister Marilyn. Proud grandfather of Wesley, Corey, Gregory, Julie, Chad, Jason, Scott, Rai-Lynn, Anna, Jamie, Tiffany, Christie, Gary, Jr., Brandon, Sean, and twins Kyle and Brady. In addition he is survived by 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was a dedicated and loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all who were touched by his love, kindness and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass at ST. CLETUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3600 Claire Ave., Gretna, LA on Saturday, May 14 at 9:00 a.m.; gathering with family and friends will begin at 8:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
