With the rising of the sun on April 30, 1937 on a lovely spring day, Mary Ruth Williams Aldridge gave birth to J.C. Dantzler the first of her sixteen children. He was a born leader always ready to get the job done. II Timothy chapter 4 verses 6-8 ‘”For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.
However on November 5, 2014 at 5:49 pm God called out for J.C. “The German” Dantzler to return home and he answered the call. The German was not a native New Orleanian but called New Orleans home for many decades. Here in New Orleans Louisiana he met his Creole Queen Mrs. Rose LaCour, they created an Awesome Family Empire with its foundation built from Respect, Loyalty and Togetherness. “United we Stand, Divided we Fall” and “It’s gonna be okay Baby” were amongst many of his Great Quotes of Encouragement. The German was a Cement Finisher, a Carpenter, a Landscaper and a Painter but his Greatest Title of all was being called Daddy. From his oldest to his youngest, from his daughters to his sons, he was always known as Daddy. Our father wasn’t a Scholar of Education, nor had he accomplished and degrees, but his Greatest Accomplishment was being Daddy. He was the first born of sixteen children to a young mother who was blessed with Gods Grace and Mercy and wisdom beyond her years to be able to love and care for ALL of her children. Daddy wasn’t an active member of any church role but he was a very Faithful member of Bedside Baptiste through countless years of being Faithful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
