Jack Anthony Callais

On February 12, 1961, God blessed Mr. and Mrs. Golty Callais in a very special way with the birth of a beautiful boy named Jack Anthony Callais. On Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 10: 00AM he spread his wings and took flight home into eternal rest at the age of 50. He was born in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of Buras, LA. He is preceded in death by his father, Golty Joseph Callais. He will be remembered in the hearts of his mother, Rosalie Franicevich Callais, his son, Carl Anthony Callais, his brother Joseph “Chubby”Callais (Sheila), his sister, Martha Sue Cook (Paul Lee), his brother James “Bimbo” Callais(Loreen), his sister Mona Callais Boutwell (Donnie), his brother Patrick Shane McNabb (Denise), his devoted mother in law and friend Portia Buras Deris and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He will be remembered for giving his heart, his love of car racing, his gift of making people laugh, and being a devoted and loving father. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral service in the parlor of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 7PM. Visitation will be from 6 PM until 10 PM. Interment will be private.
