Jacklyn Nicholas Smolder

Jacklyn Nicholas Smolder, a lifelong resident of Hahnville, LA, departed from this world while at Luling Living Center and entered her Heavenly Kingdom on February 11, 2016 at the age of 63 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard R. Smolder and her father, Earl John Nicholas Sr. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Durapau Nicholas; her three children, Timothy Thibodaux, Peter Thibodaux and Jenny Thibodaux; one grandson, Christopher “Big Boy” Thibodaux; brother, Earl Nicholas Jr.; sister-in-law Anita Nicholas; nephew, Earl Nicholas III; niece, Rachel Nicholas and great-niece Riley Tate.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of St. Charles Parish Hospital, Luling Living Center and Passages Hospice for their care and compassion shown during her journey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11 AM. Interment Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Monday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
