James E. "Jim" Bergeron

July 25, 1931 — September 30, 2014

James E. “Jim” Bergeron, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA for 38 years, was called to heaven Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Betty Benoit Bergeron. Loving father of Susan B. Giammolva (David) and Jane B. LeBlanc (Earl). Grandfather of Randy Rudolph, Lauren LeBlanc-Huffman (Chip), Alexandria Amarena, Giovanni Amarena (Kaytlin), Taylor and Tyler LeBlanc. Great grandfather of Alyssa, Jaysa, Randy Rudolph, Julianna and Ava Amarena. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Brother of Edmond J. Favre, the late Joyce B. Ezell, Peter F. Bergeron, and Earline B. Badeaux. Son of the late Augustine Landry Bergeron and Peter Bergeron. Jim was a Union Representative for OCAW/ PACE International Union, Local 4-447 and served as president of the retiree committee for many years. He was also a member of Crusin Cajuns and the FMCA.
Relatives and friends of the family, also members of the above named organizations and employees of Citizens Savings Bank, Cornerstone (American Cyanamid/Cytec) Chemical and David’s Plumbing, are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Interment will be private. Parlors will be open Saturday from 10 AM until 1:30 PM.
